NI was born out of a rich history and its journey began in the year 1990. Its origin began with Universal Traders, an enterprise run by the eldest brother of the Viyyathuparambil Family, Mohammed Ali V.A, in the late 1980s. Upon his ill timed passing, the company was foreclosed, but the dream of continuing his lineage, growing and succeeding as a family business lived on through his younger brothers.Thus, Pipes India was born, and set up in Kochi, the first enterprise in the now established NI Group. Within a span of 3 years, a second branch of Pipes India was opened in Calicut, followed by Cochin Tubes, in Kochi and another branch in Chennai under the name ‘Tubes India’.
